I can't believe it, my girlfriend bought me a car, well actually i bought it, she just put all the paper work under her name. It such a sweet car. It is a 2002 Hyundi Sonata. It is a maroon color, with keyless entry and cd/tape deck. It runs so nice. I can't believe she did that for me, my other car was falling apart, but it still ran. I just can't believ it, i will have pictures of it soon. I love her so much. I am the luckiest person in the world.
I was watching the news tonight, and of course they are talking about Katrina and such, but they also had a special report on a life saving project the army and Uof D is working on, that might be in works by 2006, so of course i decided to watch it. The report stated that the army and U of D (university of Delaware) is creating what looks to be any day to day material, but what it really is, is body armor that will protect the soldiers body from bullets and shrapnel. The scientist that was helping with this project said that the soldiers would wear this Kevlar like they would a regular suit, it is durable and light, yet a bullet would not be able to pass through it. They did a test with an ice pick. The material, no matter how hard they stabbed it with the ice pic, would not rip teak, be poked through, it was basically indestructible. The news reporter said that many lives, and limbs would be saved if this project turns out for production in 2006.
my thought was this, why didn't the Army think of this project way ahead of time, or at least tried to get things in the works for 2005. It would have saved the life of my good friend mike, and a bunch of other soldiers. Sometimes i just don't get our world. There are probably millions of reasons why this project wasn't started until now, or it was even started a long time ago, it just hits a little too close to home to find out now that there is something coming that would have most likely saved not only my friends life, but many others who have died fighting the war.
It's been a while since i have updated this thing. Maria and I are doing great, we just got back from vacation on friday, and it was an awesome vacation. No headaches, no one calling either of us and bothering us. That didn't start until we got home, but my baby stood strong and ignored all three to four calls by the same person. She even said, "aren't you proud?" I was. The vacation was sweet, we spent time down the shore, with some of maria's family. It was great beach weather, the water was warm, but refreshing, i actually got a little sunburn, but not that bad. I don't want to go back to work tomorrow, after being off for almost a week. 2 weeks ago maria and i went to New York to see RENT, that was cool too. Over all, things have been great, no real worries. This summer was pretty cool. Well, that is all i can think of for now, hope everyone had a good summer :-)

I haven't updated in a long while, so, i guess it is time to update. Hmmm, let's see, I am working a lot, which isn't really new, just keeps me busy. I am starting to get my credits together to go back to school, it is either Philadelphia University or Drexel University. Yes, ladies and gentlemen, i am going to school to be a Physician's Assistant, so i will be wearing a white jacket like the doctors wear..yay! I never thought i would take my education this far, but i am actually gonna do it.
Not much else is really new, maria and i are still together and doing well. We are heading to New York next weekend to see RENT and tour New York City. My brother is doing great, he is trying to go back to drexel to get his doctorate in chemistry. I'm so proud of him. That is about it. Hope all are doing wonderfully.
